Chronicle from Ibiza: rain, tarot readings and a reflection on receptivity, mental load and stress. How to relax so your intuition can flow again.

This trip to Ibiza left me a teaching I didn't expect. We went to work, to move energy, to read tarot... and it rained us. A lot. From that rain that forces you to give up, to change the plan and to accept that it is today to go slower. And in the middle of that forced pause, I read a lot of tarot spins.
There is something that continues to surprise me, even after so many readings: the abysmal difference between one person who comes receptive... and another who comes hermetically. Hey! I'm not talking about "believing" or "not believing." I am not talking about intelligence, or spirituality, or that one is better than another. I'm talking about an internal state. From a door. receptivity does not mean coming happy or "perfect." Sometimes the most receptive woman comes weary, with doubt, with her heart removed. But there's an open break. A "let me look." A "I want to understand." And then, the reading flows. The information is ordered. The letters seem to speak a clear language. The person recognizes it, feels it, integrates it. You don't have to push. It's like water entering soft ground.
And then there's the other end: women who come with an armor inside. It is seen in the body, in the way you breathe, in the need for control, in the tension. As if being open was dangerous. And there, as much as barages, as much as you ask, as much as you go with it... it's hard to "extract" anything in depth. Not because the tarot doesn't work. But because intuition needs space. And when everything's tight, nothing comes in. When the nervous system is on alert, the subtle runs out of air.
In Ibiza, with the rain falling, I thought: this is exactly what happens to us in life. It's not often that we don't have answers. We just don't have room to listen to them.
The mental burden makes us hermetic. The emotional burden too. The haste. The screens. The "I have to." The "later." To hold everyone. To be always available. And the body, which is wise, is protected as it can: tension, control, mental hyperactivity, disconnection from feeling.
And when we live like this, it doesn't just cost the tarot to "come in." It costs life. It's hard to rest. It's hard to enjoy. It's hard to be clear. It's hard to hear the body before I scream. It is even difficult to feel intuition, because intuition does not compete with noise: it is turned off.
Here comes the uncomfortable (but loving) question: what if you're not lost... but tired?

Sometimes the difference between "I don't know what to do" and "I see it clear" is not in thinking anymore. He's in on you. To drop some control. To lower the internal volume. The receptivity is trained with simple and real things: a walk without a mobile, an honest conversation, breathing before responding, sleeping a little better, going back to the body, allowing you to silence. It's not glamour, but it's medicine.
And there's another thing that makes it very easy: get out of the environment that keeps you in survival mode. We can't always do it, I know. But when we do, even if it's a weekend, the body thanks it in a way that can't be explained by words alone.
That's why there are retreats. Not as a "spiritual whim," but as a clean cut in the routine to come back to you. A place where your nervous system finally gets the message from: "You're safe, you can loosen."
As you know, I accompany a retreat at the Montes de Málaga (Andalusia), from Friday afternoon to Sunday at noon, thought just for this: to come down defenses, to breathe, to reconnect with your energy and to recover clarity. No demands, no smoke. Nature, calm, energy work and a human rhythm.
If reading this has made you "tic" inside, it may not be a coincidence. Write me and send you the dossier with all the information from the retreat.
I love us,
Irene
