There is a truth that I have learned from living (and accompanying many women): when your life is filled with noise, your body begins to scream. And he doesn't always scream with "clear" symptoms. Sometimes he yells in a hurry, with irritability, with insomnia, with constant soft anxiety, with the feeling that you don't rest even when you rest 😮💨
For me, simplicity is not aesthetic. It's emotional medicine. It's energy hygiene. It's a light way to walk so your nervous system won't be in an alert mode all day.
And I can see this very much here in Malaga: we live between beauty (sea, light, nature), but also with fast rhythms, screens, commitments, plans, "I have to" behind "I have to." The energy goes up, down, back up... and the peaks appear. Stress spades. Anxiety spics. Pics of exhaustion.
Simplicity does just the opposite: it reduces the volume. It brings you back to the body. It lets you breathe.
When we talk about "energy peaks," it is often this: too many stimuli, too many decisions, too much control. Not that you're "weak" or "intense." It's just that your energy is overexposed. Like when you carry your cell phone with 30 apps open and it suddenly gets hot. It's not drama: it's a sign.
And how does simplicity look in the everyday? You see in choosing less, holding less, and going back to the essential. To stop adding things as an automatic solution. In saying, "I don't need any more today... I need room today."
Meditation helps a lot because it trains you in something that seems simple but is revolutionary: to stay with you without running away. You don't have to make it perfect. Sometimes meditating is just sitting down and noticing "how I am" without judgment. And that gesture, repeated, is turning off the internal alarm.
And Reiki... Reiki to me is a beautiful way when you feel your mind will not shut up, but your body does need calm. Because Reiki doesn't ask you to understand everything. He's asking for your presence. He's asking for softness. He's asking you back. Many women after Reiki describe very similar sensations: deeper breathing, less chest tension, more clarity, less mental noise, and a feeling of "I'm here again" ✋✨
Simplicity is also this: when you notice that you are on the rise (stress, speed), instead of pushing you to "throw more," choose a small gesture to regulate you. A break. A short walk through a place with green (even if it is the Malaga Park or a quick turn at sunset). A moment of silence. A while without screens. A few-minute meditation. A Reiki session. The small, sustained, changes the system.
I love to remember it this way: calm does not always come by making great changes. He often comes to take away what's left. To simplify. By choosing the essentials. For protecting your energy as you would protect someone you love.
If you are in or around Malaga and this theme resounds you, perhaps this is your time to go back to the basics: body, breathing, nature, and well-sustained energy. Meditation and Reiki are not "spiritual luxury." They are real tools for a real life 💛
And if you're learning right now (or want to learn) Reiki, right there is the key: using it as a daily return, as an anchor, as a light way of walking without having to wait for everything to be perfect.
